I was born in Halifax and spent my childhood in Lincoln and Chester. I studied at Birmingham College of Art, specialising in illustration. I spent time teaching Art in secondary education and went on to teach on the art foundation course at Solihull College of Further Education.
In 1986, I left teaching to become a professional model-maker working in a Dutch giftware company which sold my work all over Europe.
I now create my own sculptures. My work centres around the animal world and has a strong anthropomorphic element.
I sell to private collectors and have sculptures in public galleries.
